Preview rendered by the same code as the badge, at the time this page was generated.

How to add it

Plain HTML: paste the code where you want the badge to appear, inside the body of your page.

WordPress: in the block editor, add a Custom HTML block and paste the code into it.

Blogger: go to Layout, choose Add a Gadget, pick HTML/JavaScript and paste the code. The code is plain HTML; it contains no JavaScript.

Some site builders and email tools block images from other websites. If yours does, the badge will not show. We have not tested it on every platform.

Terms

Free for personal and commercial websites, as long as the badge or a visible link credits Lunara.

Using the badge does not imply that Lunara endorses your site, or that you endorse Lunara.

Do not resell the badge or present its calculations as your own.

You can remove it at any time. There is no account, API key or payment.

Privacy

Loading the image is an ordinary browser request to our server, so our hosting sees the usual request data, such as IP address and browser details, in normal logs.

The badge itself adds no analytics, sets no cookies and collects no birth data.

If a reader clicks the badge, they arrive on Lunara, where the site’s normal consent and analytics apply. Paid automated readings there are optional.

Limits

The image updates when your page loads. It is cached for up to about 10 minutes and does not refresh on its own while the page stays open.

It shows shared geocentric data: the tropical Moon sign and phase for everyone at that moment, not anyone’s birth Moon.

The lunar disc is a simple drawing from the illuminated percentage, shown lit on the right while waxing. It is not a photograph or a view from any particular place.

Want the Moon in your own birth chart instead? Try the free natal chart calculator. Want your visitors to calculate theirs? Embed the free birth chart widget.

Method: tropical, geocentric positions from the Swiss Ephemeris, the same calculation used by Lunara’s Moon phase page. The phase name and illuminated percentage come from the Moon–Sun longitude difference.
